The Irwin 52 with its generous fuel
and water tankage has always been noted for its comfortable
cruising characteristics. These wonderful yachts lend themselves
perfectly to family cruising, charter operation or in our
case, spacious luxurious accommodations for just a cruising
couple. With her centerboard down, drawing 13 feet she goes
to weather well and with the centerboard up her 5-½
ft. draft allows her to gunkhole in shoal areas normally not
accessible to boats of this size.
S/V "JALAPEÑO"
1985 IRWIN KETCH 52' has always been privately
owned and never chartered. During the last eight years she
has been continually upgraded by a knowledgeable owner and
is now offered for sale in the Caribbean in excellent condition.
Jalapeño differs from other Irwin 52's in the custom-built
fiberglass "hard top" cockpit enclosure, which is
cored and vacuum bagged for strength and weight savings.
